Jan Mitra Samadhan Kendra

Spread across 12 centers in Rural Development  block Barai, District Gwalior, The Janmitra experiment is a novel endeavor that harnesses the possibilities of technology adjuncting them with human skills to expedite G2C service delivery at the cutting edge level. Early successes achieved by Janmitra have in fact demonstrated the viability of the model in providing  dedicated public services to citizens in rural areas.

While a basket of 62 services are currently being delivered expeditiously through the 12 Janmitra Samadhan Centres in a single block in Gwalior District, an appraisal system to monitor and evaluate the on-field presence of field level functionaries of 12 departments has since been institutionalized.

Data entry under NREGS using MIS has been decentralized to the sub block level though these centers. It is proposed to scale up the initiatives in a phased  manner to cover the remaining three blocks in the district
