Implementation of AGMARKNET project at Gwalior

In Gwalior , there are two Mandis located at Lashkar in the District hqrs and Dabra (45 Kms away from District hqrs) known as Krishi Upaj Mandi Samittee(KUMS). In first phase the computer , modem , printer & ups were installed at KUMS Dabra on 18.4.2002. The system was connected to NICNET via dialup connectivity for transmission of daily market rates to the agmarknet portal. The agmarknet software developed & implemented by NIC is being used by the trained staff of KUMS.

In second phase the computer , modem , printer & ups were installed at KUMS Lashkar on 3.7.2002. The system was connected to NICNET via dialup connectivity for transmission of daily market rates to the agmarknet portal. The agmarknet software developed & implemented by NIC is being used by the trained staff of KUMS.

Also the operational training imparted to the staff of both KUMS for 15 days duration at NIC Gwalior for the implementation & smooth functioning of the project.

The scheme & its benefits were publicised in the Local News papers. Also a days workshop were organised jointly by the NIC District Centre, Gwalior and Secretary KUMS, at Dabra on 24.5.2003 and at Lashkar on 28.5.2003 as per the instructions received from NIC State Unit Bhopal.

The leaflets on AGMARKNET were distributed to the participients in the workshop. Also the banner and posters were mounted on the wall at KUMS, Collectorate & NIC offices for publicising amongst the common man.

The neccessary Technical support is being extended to KUMS time to time for smooth functioning of the project.

On line demonstration of AGMARKNET portal

An online demo of AGMARKNET portal was held at Collectorate Gwalior on 13.8.04 at 12:00 noon for awareness amongst common man and District Administration. It was publicised in the Local News paper & SAHARA TV. It was attended by Additional Collector, SDM,ADM, Deputy Collectors, Tehsildar , Other District officials and media persons.Also the leaflets on AGMARKNET were distributed to the participients in the workshop
